From Laura Cosgrove on 1/6/19- This morning I dreamed about something that taught me more about God's amazing and unlimited love for us who are not only imperfect but not so easily likable by others out of our selfish attitudes. It is true that we can not get into Heavin while living with hidden sin in our hearts or lives but even though God hates every sin, He loves us unfailingly. This is the dream.- About one woman and one little girl. The woman was friendly but the girl was somewhat of a spoiled brat and snooty in some ways that she acted or words she would say to others. Personally, that repels me from wanting to be around people like that. I realize that is because the way a person represents him or herself that is what people are going to notice and think about. Well, after this little girl demonstrated her rudeness and insensitivity toward another girl whom she didn't think highly of, the woman who met the girl, instead of backing away from this girl's life, she sang to her. She kept singing about how she loved her. Nothing seemed to be any different about this girl in attitude but she couldn't help but keep listening as the woman kept singing about how she loved her. She just kept repeating that she really loved this little girl and from day to day, and time to time, it was always nonstop! As I heard this, I was daily amazed and softened in my heart with how she loved the little girl so much and yet was not moved by the girl's flaws in her character towards others and herself. "I love you, I love you, she kept singing. Finally, one day, this little girl, being moved by the relentless love displayed in tune towards who she was, she was dressed up like a little princess with a beautiful dress and her hair all up with a tiara while smiling real big and scuttled in a fast pace with small steps toward the woman with complete delight and joy. THIS IS HOW GOD LOVES US. While He HATES sin, He LOVES us so much that he took on our punishment while going to the cross and hanging on it. God is a HOLY and JUST God who desires to DELIGHTS in His creation and that includes us the way He made us to be before sin entered into the world. But He never gave up on us. He is angry with the wicked every day but He desires to LOVE us right out of our blinding self-centered sins and into His world, yet with us. The Bible says God sings over us. Zephaniah 3:17 includes an interesting description of God singing over people: “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” Now, this world will not be able to continue the way it has been going. Where will you be when bad news finds you and who will you run to? Consider the dream about the snooty girl and the woman who loved the girl for who she was and know who you can put all your trust in. And when someone gets on your nerves in a bad way, think on this. God's grace is sufficient for you and them. -Laura Cosgrove
