I had this dream about church leaders and church members helping with certain projects all around the church. From the Pastors on down, they would take the God given money from people's Tithes and offerings to build a bigger church building with add ons and better stuff in the rooms and more things to make the church experience more enhanced, comfortable, assessable, enjoyable, and entertaining. In the mean time, while people are moving around building up and decorating the church building and rooms to use, they were playing a movie for the children on a big white screen and the parents were invited to watch the family entertaining movie. The movie was a new release called, The return of Batman. Then, the movie ended and a big applause then they decided to watch it again for more entertainment. This project, however, was going to take at least a year or longer project of many things to add-on or make better. Anyways, the message from all this is that the "church" is more important to many Christians than the Kingdom of God is. They have this idea that God gives them this money just to do that! It is self-centered oriented in nature and what they thought was God oriented is only for self-comfort and numbers as well. What God wants is for us to get out of ourselves and into building His church of souls for Him, His purpose, and His Kingdom. As far as the luxuries of comfort, looks, or entertainment, that should have its own place when God's will is our purpose first. Bottom line is we need to repent and refocus by Giving back to God His way for His purposes before we are done and time and souls are lost. We are no better than the lost doing these things with the money that comes into the church. -Laura Cosgrove
